Cookie policy
VideoUpscaler separates storage needed to remember your choice from optional product analytics. Optional analytics stays off until you accept it.

1. What this policy covers
Cookies and similar technologies can store or read small pieces of information in a browser. This policy explains the current website configuration and should be checked again against the production deployment before launch.
2. Necessary preference storage
The website stores one consent preference in your browser so it can remember whether optional analytics were accepted or declined. This preference is used to honour your choice and is not used for advertising.
| Storage key | Purpose | Typical duration |
|---|---|---|
| videoupscaler.analytics-consent-v2 | Remembers accept or decline | Until removed or changed |
3. Optional analytics
When production PostHog and Google Analytics 4 identifiers are configured, the site asks before loading either analytics service. If you accept, those services may use browser storage to maintain an anonymous identifier and measure page and product interactions. Session recording, advertising storage, Google Signals and ad personalization are not enabled by this build.
If you decline, neither PostHog nor Google Analytics 4 is loaded and their analytics storage remains disabled. Declining optional analytics does not block the core video workflow.
4. Change or withdraw your choice
Use Cookie settings in the footer at any time. You can also clear site data in your browser. Withdrawing consent stops future optional analytics on that browser; it does not automatically erase information already processed, so a verified privacy contact must be added before launch for deletion requests.
5. Production verification
Before public release, the team must scan the deployed domain, verify the actual storage names and lifetimes, confirm the analytics region, and update this table if any provider or purpose changes.
